The mobility sector is undergoing profound changes linked to the growing awareness of citizens and companies. Moreover, this sector is strongly impacted by digitalisation and the emergence of new types of actors. Guest Speaker Xavier Tackoen will describe how Brussels and Belgium are evolving in terms of travel and will present some ideas on how transport could evolve over the next 20 years. After his presentation, it will be possible to discover new forms of travel thanks to the Mobility Van, a demonstration vehicle for different types of mobility devices: electric mini-scooters, electric bicycles, electric kickscooters, mobile applications, etc.
Xavier Tackoen is Managing Director of Espaces-mobilités, a consultancy firm based in Brussels and specialising in mobility and public spaces. Xavier is passionate about the sociology of transport and how new technologies are changing the way we travel.
